I've also been there. I've found that what often inspires writing is new places and new experiences, so I can see how traveling less might put your muse on snooze mode. I'm betting there's a way to you can incorporate a little more of that into your life without travel, but I don't know if that would be enough to get you back into a writing headspace. As writers it can be hard to accept, but some stages of life may have less writing than others and there's not anything inherently wrong with that. Even famous writers probably had periods where they didn't write much, or even didn't write at all. Didn't make them any less of a writer or make the things they did write any less valuable. But I totally get the feeling of wanting to write and not really being able to find inspiration. One thing that can help with writer's block is to consume more instead of focusing on producing. You may find yourself feeling inspired again if you read a lot of other people's works that you like. Don't know if that helps, but thought I would give my 2 cents since I've kind of been feeling the same way lately. |
