The contest has been rewritten to reflect the January round. The December winner will be announced by January 7th, and each of the six final winners will receive a review from the judge by that night. If you have ever received an Exclusive Lodestar Merit Badge, you are one of the only ones who will ever have it. In a moment of pure ignorance, I deleted the group the Merit Badge was tied to. It was an access group, originally made to let just a few people have access to early drafts and novels in progress. I had removed all those items from WdC and came this close to deleting the group over and over again as a part of my downsizing and simplifying goal to kick off 2026. I kept remembering, just in time, that I had to keep it in order to keep the ability to give out the Lodestar Merit Badge. Finally, I didn't remember in time. I am truly sorry to the December winner as well as any who review all the December entrants. I'm now offering a "Guide" MB for any who review all December entrants. I also had to change the offer of the Lodestar MB to the final-round grand prize winner and runner-up to a general one. Good news, though! We only have three-ish more weeks for me to mess anything else up with the Lodestar. |
