I should have visited here sooner. I would have written the review a bit differently. The Hero in this book, at least the one that ended up getting married at the end, was a Major in the British forces and was badly scarred and wounded. Recovering his self esteem from his feelings about that (not to mention his first fiance breaking their engagement because of it) was a large part of his story arc.
