 "Poetry is the opening and closing of a door, leaving those who look through to guess what is seen during a moment."...Carl Sandburg ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **  Thanks to NOVAcatmando, who inspired me to found this groupat the closing of Ms. Nicki's Poetry Basics & Beyond Class, of which I was a grateful member. Her invitation (echoed by Ms. Nicki's and Cherry-Anne's) to share links to our poetry efforts after the class ended put that "lazy little squirrel in my noggin" to turning the wheel once again. I was afraid he'd go to sleep, and I'd forget classmates' Screen Names, etc., and lose contact. I could put them with "Favorites", of course... but I have quite a few noted, and am not too sure all those whose work I love to read would enjoy "mass mailings" of my meager efforts! My deepest gratitude also to SonnetWolf who,in the midst of preparations to move into a new home, took time to create and then graciously donate signature art for this page and two sigs for members to share! You are encouraged to thank her with a review of one of her items (notes of thanks are nice, but reviews are so much nicer!). This talented poet also has several books of her original poetry in publication. Purchase of one of her books would not only be a great way of saying "Thanks!"; it would also be a very good way for PPG members to draw inspiration from one of today's gifted poets.
So, here we are, and I know we will enjoy the fellowship, as well as continue to learn from each other's efforts. The rules are simple: Be respectful and courteous; all who are not will be removed. We all learn from constructive reviews; the opposite can mortally wound a muse! You are required to: enjoy the fellowship and/or learn here. There are no demands to be met; neither set number of reviews to be given nor "points" to be attained. We might, as I become more accustomed to hosting a group forum, conduct contests and other activities in the future but, for now, this is a sharing spot for your poetry. Enjoy yourself!
