When Taya cut her hair short - probably helped by her stylist's enthusiasm - some Christian magazines and online comments made her out to be "gay." I was saddened and unappreciative of the charge (it is largely irrelevant, as she is a well-behaved person). I adore her voice and her love for Jesus Christ ... and I trust she will honor what the Bible says. Her mentor, Pastor Bobbie Houston, was happy to take a picture with Taya Smith. Today I read Melamine and Jeremy explain that Taya cut her hair short, to demonstrate her support for those (especially children) battling CANCER! How wrong can some of us be when we ASSuME!
