This choice: The wedding party is growing! • Go Back... Katherine and the party took arrived at the hotel with everyone else two hours later. None of them had eaten since late the previous afternoon and they were all understandably hungry. Rhonda, one of the bridesmaids suggested going out for some pancakes which all quickly agreed to do. Walking down the street for a couple of blocks they entered the pancake house and commandeered 2 tables in the back. Ordering first, Diana asked for some coffee and a stack of buckwheat pancakes. The others all agreed that sounded fine by them, so the all placed an order.
While waiting for their order to arrive, Svetlana opened her purse taking out one the "vitamin" bottles she took from Nicole's house. When they were gathering themselves to leave that morning, she had started thinking about the 'X' pills. Maybe they were something like the little blue pills she expected Marina's husband would probably be taking on the honeymoon. After all, he was fifty-eight and she was twenty-one. Svetlana had been the person to introduce them a couple of years ago. That was why Marina had asked Svetlana to be her 'maid of honor'.
She had meant to take one of the bottles that was marked 'X.' Being in a rush she had inadvertently picked up the one marked 'XXX'. She had no idea just how strong these 'XXX' pills would be. She swallowed three of the 'XXX' pills. All the others except for Nicole's sisters take just one of the 'XXX' pills. Those two are growing increasingly leery of these vitamins, they both remember just how strange Nicole was acting when they first saw how big she had grown last year. The bottle of 'E' was also passed around. It was less popular than the 'XXX' as only Katherine, Diana, and Marina took them. Marina took three of them believing that they should have taken more the previous night. The 'E' hadn't seemed to help them with their hangovers.
When the pancakes arrived a few minutes later everyone devoured them. Strangely, for so many young women who were watching their weight, everyone literally drowned their pancakes in maple syrup and high calorie sweet churned butter.
As they were finishing those stacks the waitress came by to freshen up their coffee (which they all had pretty much ignored) she asked, "Would ya'll like anything else?" All of the women simultaneously answered that they wanted more pancakes.
The waitress laughed and said, "Alrighty then. Eight more stacks coming up." As soon as the food arrived they all heartily dug in and those stacks were soon gone. This went on for three more rounds. The ones who had taken the 'E' pills kept on eating a little longer than the rest. Finally, Marina was the only one still eating - and it was really showing. She finally stopped after 11 stacks of pancakes. When she slid out of her chair she looked at least 6 months pregnant. Every other woman had gained at least 3 inches on her waist. Everyone was so concerned about whether there was enough time left to get their dresses let out before the wedding no one noticed that there rears were now hurting a lot more than when they woke up.
Walking back into the hotel Marina's mother fainted when she saw them, but no one noticed her. They were all focused on seeing if anyone still fit in her dress. The walk and food made them all very, very sleepy so they all promptly fell asleep in their rooms. Several of them didn't even manage to get to their beds. They all slept for nearly five hours, except Marina... she was still asleep way after the rest of the group.
As each woman woke up the first thing on her mind was just how big their stomach still was. Everyone was thrilled to see that their stomachs were all pretty much back to their normal size. But, their rears and now hips felt like they were
ready to burst! However, the biggest surprise for them all was the three or four inches longer their legs had become. Had Marina not insisted that they wear very long dresses, it would have looked like they were wearing short dresses. At least with their suddenly longer legs no one would be wearing high heels at the wedding.
When Svetlana tried waking Marina, nothing worked. She wasn't waking up until she was ready. So Svetlana got a couple of the other women to help get Marina into her wedding gown. Things were a whole lot worse for Marina. Her legs were fully five inches longer and still growing. Hips were widening and her thighs also were thickening. When she finally woke up, Marina was seven inches taller. To cover that up it, Svetlana quickly decided that everyone will wear high heels. That way, the height difference won't look as bad as it otherwise would.
Thinking quickly Katherine called one of the groom's friends over.
"Could you do me a favor?" asked Katherine.
"Sure," he replied. "What is it?"
"Well, we need you to get everyone to stay outside of the chapel until all of the ladies are inside. After that, you must seat everyone as rapidly as possible."
"Uh, sure. But, what should I tell them?"
"Tell them that Marina isn't feeling very well, and we need to get the wedding done quickly so she can relax."
"Alright..." the man walked away, questioning the strange events.
The strategy worked incredibly well. All of the wedding guests were so worried about Marina no one noticed that the bride and her attendants had literally grown to be several inches taller overnight. Other than the groom none of the ushers had met the bridesmaids so they didn't know everyone wasn't supposed to be so tall.
When the wedding was over of the groom, naturally, asked, "What happened to you girls?"
Svetlana told him, "No one, knows... it must have been something we ate."
Later, Katherine would take the remaining vitamins back to Nicole's house, hoping that she wouldn't notice. Even though the girls no longer took the vitamins, their appetites still stayed large. Every other day, they would get hungry, and go on a binge, followed by a long period of rest, and yet more growth. This cycle finally stopped after two weeks, after which the women ranged in heights from nine feet tall all the way up to fifteen feet. Soon they were a national sensation, with world-class scientists debating over what caused this growth.
