Tablet of Time

Voices of birds cry out from the jungle. The tribe's warriors all gather around the honored woman warrior of the day. None speaks a word.

Wearing the skins of wild jungle cats and intricate gold jewelery, they have all gathered to witness the old woman's passage through The Tablet of Time.

Long has she worked to provide the mighty Toltec empire with ritual sacrifices, and to smite their enemies. But the years have worn greatly upon her. For her service to the empire, the elders have agreed to give her a new chance at life. She shuffles forward and takes her place in the light.

The sun rises higher and higher in the sky. In an instant, there is a great flash and a single beam of light strike the circle just right. It ignites into almost a laser and begins refracting around the room. The tablet's eyes glow as the beam finally hits home.

The aged warrior clutches herself as her body begins to reform. Those viewing see a rewind version of the woman's life as her figure returns and her wrinkles disappear. Her revealing clothing looks more and more appropriate as the years are shaved away.

But will it go all the way with her, as it did with Silvermane?
