You're right Applejack I won't be very effective if I remain in this state." The alicorn rationalized as her horn began to illuminate. Once she had succesfully created an aura around herself the rear exit door of the castle creaked open to reveal a groggy pinkish lavander unicorn behind it. The lavander and light blue striped maned equine proceeded to step out oto the clearing as the magic that had formed around TS began to dissipate into a stream that was seemingly no longer interested in staying attached to her. The magical energy quickly reformed into a steady beam and redirected itself, bolting towards it's newly acquired target.
"Starlight, look out!" AJ screamed as she watched the spell rush towards the understudy of friendship. The magic struck Starlight Glimmer completly enveloping the mare and after a couple of moments changes began. Her mane and tail retracked before pushing and filling out more and more, the pony's back and flank slumped downwad and inward and then procceded to rise and swell larger and larger. Her hooves simultaneously receded before spreading out across the clearing's gravel with her head dwindling before ballooning to a greater size. The magic then dissolved having fulfilled it's purpose.
"Well this is certainly new but Twilight might I ask, why have you decided to enlarge me?" SG inquired nonchlantly with sleepiness in her tone. The 9 foot 2 inch pony was still trying to peice together the absurd situation confused by the sight, curious as to whether Applejack and herself were in fact that big or was Twilight just really tiny?
"I wasn't..... It wasn't meant for you! You have impeccable timing, I was attempting to enlarge myself! Stated the little pony cleary frustrated.
"Oh, well then what happened? The spell shouldn't have done that." SG asked plainly still pretty tired but strangely calm.
Then in an irritated tone while in unison both the gaint and the tiny mares respond with, "Chaos magic!"
"I see that makes sense, tricky stuff." SG replied not missing a beat in a matter of fact manner. TS and AJ then calmed down and proceeded to clue SG into the dilemma they have been plagued with all day.
"Jeez, Applejack that's quite the tale and Twilight I'm so sorry things have gotten this bad. But hey look on the bright side you've got me now and I'm certain the two of us can fix this!" SG said confidetly to her teacher and aquaintance.
"I don't know Starlight, this chaos magic has been a real pain." "Not to mention unpredictable." TS replied defeated before AJ added angrily.
"Come on now Twilight, you mean to tell me that a little enlargement enchantment has completely bested one of the greatest alicorns to ever walk equestria! I don't by it, it's chaos right? We just gotta approach this at a different angle that's all!" SG stated triumphantly.
"Do you really think this is a good idea Starlight, I mean look at me!" TS squeaked as she pleaded her case while gesturing to her 8 inch frame.
"Yes, in fact I think it's a great idea. We'll never know unless we try right? Beside if I'm wrong then we could just track down that Draconequuus." SG said firmly standing her ground.
"Well one thangs for sure ya'll should probably decide here soon, cause we've still got a growin pony over here!" AJ panicly stated as she felt the sensation all over again. AJ's flank shrank ever so slightly then billowed out signifigantly afterward, her body dipped towards the ground then rose termendously, the counrty pony's head decreased in mass before bulging outward again. AJ's legs and hooves shortened and diminished then thickened, lengthened, and spread out in diameter. Her yellow mane and tail recoiled followed by blooming out again. This was SG's first time witnessing this and she was astonished by the show watching the simple ebodiment of honesty becoming 32 feet tall all at once was incredible!
"Wow, your not kinding!" SG stated dumbfounded.
"Aww shucks, ah really am gettin tired of all this!" AJ whined sounding completely frustrated.
SG looked down and gave her mentor a nod and said, "What do you say Princess, wanna give it another whirl? There's no time like the present!" SG still undetured almost as if she was more motivated than ever now, after seeing the effect on the huge mare first hand.
"It's going to be alright Applejack, Starlight's right if I focus on containment and direction of the magic while she performs the spell we may have a real shot!" TS stated bluntly sounding more hopefull than she had been in a while.
"Well ah supose ya have a point, granny always said two ponies are better than one!" AJ concured sounding a little less upset.
"OK, it's settled then. Now who's first, Applesaurous, The Inredible Shrinking Alicorn, or Starlight The 9 ft Wonder?" SG inquired enthusiastically.
Twilight looks up at AJ and states, "It's up to you Big Gal, what do you want to do?"
