Her chair broke breaking the spell of food.

Hildas chair broke when she hit 270 . Her hips were expanding too quickly over the months until her chair couldn't handle it anymore. when she found out what was happening she tried to put a stop to it but her mom just stuffed some turkey in her mouth and she fell under the spell again. Their mother then bought reinforced chairs. Even though her other daughter, Bertha, didn't mind the food at 320 pounds.
