Opal's belly swelled up to eight months with triplets, all three of them girls. Her sweater was now only covering half of her belly.
In this new reality, Opal had a one night stand. She never saw the man again (not that she remembered what he looked like), but he’d left her with a gift, her daughters. She’d been overjoyed to discover her pregnancy.
Adjusting her glasses and putti no the strange coin in her purse, Opal returned her attention to the book she was reading. A kick to her popped belly button got her attention as she smiled down at her belly. She pulled her sweater up just beneath her breasts exposing the large, taut, slightly moving sphere that was her belly.
“We'll be home soon, girls." Opal whispered affectionately to her daughters. The librarian rubbed her belly when one of them kicked again.
