This choice: Something happens on the way • Go Back... You rolled over onto your back on this furry giantess, looking up at the sky as you were almost lulled to sleep by the gentle motions...though you didn't get much chance for that you found.
"So you just woke up that small? Wow, that's bad luck bud." Eevee said after you told her how you'd come to be in this situation...to the best of your knowledge. You also left out the part where this was a fictional world, but eh, that was for the best you figured. "Yeah, it sure is..." You muttered, not entirely put off by your new friend, but a little worried about how well she'd be able to look after you right now. You took the time to look around from your perch on this titaness and saw absolutely monolithic trees, as well as dense bushes that you felt could house hundreds of people your size. The whole thing was quite scary, and a bit humbling as well.
"Ah, well your luck isn't all bad, we found each other, and things are gonna work out great!" Eevee said with a bit of gusto as she kept on going, you felt like she added a bit of a skip in her step too, before suddenly she halted and gulped. "Uh, bud...hide." Eevee said, her tone a bit more soft than you'd heard up until now.
"...huh?" You said, trying to look ahead before she turned, trying to look at you, though you could only see part of her face, she looked worried.
"Hide, please!" She said, almost pleading, which caught you off guard. You looked around...not sure how you'd do this before you saw something in the distance approaching...it was big, it was purple, and it looked nasty...a Salazzle. Ah, yeah. Now you understood. Quick as you could you crawled to Eevee's back and crawled down, trying to hide in her tail...though finding it a bit hard to keep a grip. The fur, while fluffy back here, didn't have as much of a firm ground to hold yourself to, and...it swayed. Small movements to Eevee, but quite large to you, it was then that you heard the voice.
"Well, if it isn't little Eevee...surprised to see you coming through here so brazenly after stealing my berries." The cool, female sounding voice sent shivers down your spine. There was nothing warm in there, you could almost feel a cold malice.
"I didn't steal them...I just got them off a bush." You heard Eevee say, her energy she displayed with you almost gone now. She sounded sad, and almost a bit scared.
"My bush...you know the rules, this is my area of the forest, and weak little pokemon like you aren't welcome to take from it without paying. Now, what's your toll?" Salazzle said. Eevee looked down glumly at the ground before you heard her protest. "Hey, give that back! That's mine!" Her tail started to go erratic, making it harder and harder to hold on. There was also the fatigue you still felt from when she had you help her out with rubbing a sore spot. You were able to see what had happened though, Salazzle had taken the flower Eevee had in her ear.
"My my, what a cute little flower...I suppose this could do." Salazzle sounded quite happy with herself at taking it.
"Please...I looked really hard to find that kind of flower, it's so pretty..." Eevee sounded positively sad at this and you almost wanted to come out and confront Salazzle...if it weren't suicide on your part at least. You might've just met Eevee, but hearing her like this almost broke your heart considering how happy she'd sounded before. It was when you felt your body make a move to crawl forward that you felt a mistake. You almost thought Salazzle's eyes darted towards you...it might've been your imagination, but you certainly didn't like even the slim chance you'd been spotted! Your arms were also starting to burn really badly. You wanted desperately to rest, but if you did that could spell disaster. You gritted your teeth, as the next few moments came to pass.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
