Chapter #42

Eevee's story

    by: Unknown
Eevee.

All the various Eeveelutions left for their various reasons, leaving you with their friendliest, if a bit naïve sister.

Apparently, she took notice too, because a bright smile crawled across her furry cheeks.

"Soo bud," she began, leaning forward so that her muzzle was inches from you, her warm breath blowing gently, ruffling your hair,
"Looks like it's just us now."

"Apparently." you quietly said, turning around to face the dark brown full-body mirror that was Eevee's eye.

You took the opportunity and let out a long sigh, feeling like you weren't going to last long in this cave with the nine giantesses that inhabited it.

Two of them already openly proclaimed their disdain toward you; three were friendly... or, somewhat friendly in Jolteon's case; Sylveon was moody and Glaceon playful. Umbreon, you didn't meet her yet and that scared you.

According to Eevee she was one of the eldest siblings, how would she take the news?

You groaned to yourself, but the feeling of something soft prodding at your side: Eevee was poking at you.

"Ya all there, bud?" she asked, beginning to worry after seeing you so deep in your thoughts that you have ignored her for the past few minutes.

"Um... yeah, just, y'know, thinkin', Vee..." you admitted, sighing again.

Being the cheerful friend she was and pleased by the fact you called her by her nickname, Eevee leaned in closer, this time her muzzle pushing into your body.

"About?" she whispered, careful to not hurt your hearing, which was way more sensible than before due you being endlessly smaller than you once were.

"... Honestly, I don't think I made that good of an impression on your sisters." you admitted, scratching the back of your head.

Eevee smiled.

"That's because they don't now ya yet!" she cheered,
"I mean, my sisters only reacted like that because... well..."

"I'm human."

Eevee slowly nodded her head with her look falling and a blush forming, though it was hard to tell as the red shade was hidden beneath tons of brown fur.

"... Look, it's kind of a long story." she began, before she looked up and glanced around,
"Buuut... let's go to my room first,"

"... Room?" you parroted back, flabbergasted.

Since when pokemon had rooms?

"Yup, we've got one each. Flareon made 'em with Superpower... man, was she half dead when she was done..."

While saying this, Eevee lowered her head more, allowing you, getting the hint, to climb up on her nose, which she then shot up in the air, causing you to soar high for a second before dropping right back on the fluffy ground that was the top of the giantess' head.

You sat in between her two familiar pillars of fur as she started walking the way she came from, leaving the place where you previously filled your stomach.

Eevee walked for about two minutes before reaching a quite large opening in the rock, a cave within the cave; grass covered the stone floor.

"Here we are." Eevee said while walking 'inside' and laying down on the grass; you went to climb down, but the brown giantess stopped you,
"Think you could give my ears a scratch, bud? I'd really love that~" she chimed, causing you to shrug.

"Sure."

You got up from your soft perch and walked to one of the furry twin towers, putting your hand on it, feeling softness and warmth under your palm.

You began scratching the looming ear, immediately causing its owner to let put a pleased moan.

"Bud, I swear, you were a blessiiing~" Vee chirped.

You took the compliment and kept scratching, your brown planet shaken with pleased mutterings.

"So," you said at some point,
"You mentioned there's a story why your sisters... I mean, some of 'em hate humanity. And that is...?"

Being this near to her ears, Eevee had no trouble hearing you despite her moans.

"Right, that," she recalled,
"... I was very young when it happened, but my sisters told me everything."

At this point, the giantess hesitated, but decided that you could hear the story.

"Long, sad story short, we used to live with our parents. Thing is-"

"Lemme guess, the got caught by some trainer." you interrupted.

Eevee was perplexed.

"How do you-" you interrupted again,
"Honestly, I guessed." you replied, knowing that catching pokemon to make them battle was the only thing of games, aside from contests.

Eevee sighed.

"... Point is, humans took a way our parents, leaving us all by ourselves. Back then, only Umbreon had already evolved and looked after us until we learned to take care of ourselves; Sylveon, who was an Eevee like me back then, helped her watch over and protect us. When she evolved, she became... overprotective."

You remained silent at the story of the nine orphans.

"... I'm sure your parents are fine, Vee," you said, trying to cheer your giant host up,
"Whatever they're doing, I'm sure they're fine and doing great, makin' their trainer proud."
You resumed your petting, and Eevee buried her head in a paw, letting out a pleased sigh.

"Y'think?"

"Definitely."

For five more minutes, you kept rubbing the giantess' ears non-stop, until she suddenly decided to get up, causing you to tumble back to the middle of her head.

"V-Vee?"

"Well, leavin' the past where it belongs," she said with a smile.

Was she happy again? Gee, what a sunny personality.

"Hey, Vee?" you called, a question now lingering in your mind,
"Why did you help me if my kind...?"

You couldn't see it, but Eevee smiled brightly.

"'Cause you couldn't hurt me. I mean, I'm, like, eight times you." she replied.

You chuckled nervously at the mention, not wanting to remind Eevee that everything and everyone around you was a potential threat and that some of her sisters despised you.

"Now come on," the long eared giantess suddenly chimed, beginning to walk,
"My sisters know about you, alright, but there was no actual introduction... except with Glaceon. Anyway, we need to get you introduced to the others, for good."

"A-Alright..." you stammered, hoping she wasn't bringing you to Espeon.

As if reading your mind, Eevee stopped.

"Hmm... maybe it's a tad early to see Espy..." she mused, leaving you awash with relief.

Relief that waned when Eevee began walking again.

"Um, Vee? Who are we going to see first?" you timidly asked.
