Emily is home, but Haley is out

The door opened, revealing a blue-haired woman. Did all the women in the this town have strange hair colors, or was it just a coincidence? She seemed surprised to see Abigail. Motioning for the girl to come in, Emily walked into her house.

"Oh hi. It's nice of you to visit me like this Abigail. I just got done doing some cleaning, and I feel like the house is giving off a positive energy."

Abigail just nodded along. She had explained to you that Emily was a little...eccentric. The purple-haired girl tried to think of a way to naturally transition into talking about you, but instead elected push out her hand with you in it. Emily peered down at you, confused, while Abigail tried to explain.

"I found this little guy in the shop. He says he has no idea how he got so small, and that he doesn't know about Stardew Valley. It sounded like some sort of magic might be involved, so I thought maybe you might know something."

Emily studied you for a moment. Her brows wrinkled her cute face as she looked down at you. "It's not the weirdest thing I've ever heard of happening in the town. Do you remember the time Haley ate that weird fruit and turned purple for three days?" The woman giggled to herself, clearly taking delight in that memory. "I'm not sure how to help him though."

Her eyes met yours, and she could see the disappointment in your face. You could tell from the look she gave you that she was a caring person. "Have you eaten anything weird recently? Or walked into any abandoned community centers?"

You scratched your head. "Not that I remember, but I don't remember much if I'm being honest. I went from my normal life to just waking up tiny in that shop."

Emily looked deep in thought for a moment. "Maybe we should take you to Mayor Lewis. The wizard might also know something, but he only seems to talk to people when he wants to. Abigail, can I hold him for a minute. I want to feel his energy."

You weren't completely sure what he meant by that, but you looked up at Abigail. The purple-haired girl just shrugged. "If it's alright with him, sure."

You nodded. Even if you were unsure if it would help, it wouldn't hurt to keep the people helping you happy. Abigail touched her fingers against Emily's, giving you a bridge from one palm to the other. You carefully walked it until you were in the other woman's hand.

"Oh wow. He's radiating a very strong positive energy. You're a really good guy aren't you?"

The unexpected compliment made your cheeks turn crimson. Embarrassed, you just said "I try my best to be."

Both of the girls laughed at your modesty. You just rubbed the back of your head and laughed along.

Emily glanced at you, and then at Abigail, a resolute look crossing her face. "Would you be okay with staying with me for a little bit? I'm very interested in what is going on with you. Plus, it would be really fun to make cute little clothes for you. I even have a little birdcage you could use as a little room." The blue-haired girl smiled down at you, her eyes shining with delight. She genuinely seemed excited by the idea.

You responded. "Well, if you already have something set up, I think that's a great idea." Not wanting the other girl to be left out, you added, "What do you think Abigail?"

The purple-haired girl looked forlorn for a second, but quickly hid it. "I think that's smart." Then she blushed, "Would it... would it be okay if I came by to visit you guys sometimes?" She was super interested in your case, and possibly regretted not getting any...alone time with you.

Emily just wrapped her arms around Abigail in a hug, pressing you against the girl's back. "Of course you can. You can visit every day if you want."

Abigail grinned, and then her phone went off, a short few beeps coming from it. "Oh. Dad needs me in the store. Well, I'll see you guys. Thank you so much Emily!" The girl then walked out of the house.

Now it was just you and Emily. Before you could get a word out, your stomach growled. The sound was disproportionately loud compared to your tiny stature. I got so caught up in being shrunk, I didn't even think about food.

Emily just laughed, her big smile crinkling the corners of your eyes. "I guess you're hungry. Let me go make you something to eat, I'll be right back." She put you down onto a table, and then paced towards her kitchen.

You called back. "Thank you Emily."
