It was plain for Veronica to see you were not having a good time right now. The fear and discomfort was obvious even on a face as puny as yours as you struggled to squirm your way out of her sister’s hand. Veronica couldn’t help but snort at that. There were lots of things she would call her little sister; mellow, winsome, feckless and perhaps a little credulous. But the very last thing she could ever imagine Serena being described as was intimidating.
If Serena was trying to convince you to enjoy becoming their new shrunken plaything, then that little interment inside her mouth was clearly a wrong move.
Still, that was your problem, not hers. And besides, Veronica currently had bigger things she was working on.
“Thanks but no thanks, Serena. You two go have fun somewhere else.” The childlike mage dismissed the both of you with a wave of her hand, and just like that your only sliver of hope of escaping the hands of this villainous minstrel went up in smoke.
“But-but-but…Veronica, please!” You were willing to get on your knees and beg at this point, just for a brief reprieve from the ivory trap of Serena’s mouth. However, your lower body was still ensnared in the giantess’s fingers so even that was a nonstarter.
“You heard my big sis~” Serena sang, twirling in a circle as her elegant dress flared out around her. She glanced over shoulder at her de-aged sibling, still engrossed in her book on the bed. “Looks like it’s just you and me for now, Little Snack!”
Your new nickname was like poison in your ears.
“We’ll leave Veronica her space and go have fun by ourselves!” Serena continued. With a cheeky smile the blonde giantess reached down and gripped your arm between two fingers, forcibly raising it and jerking it back and forth. “Come on, wave goodbye to Big Sis Veronica!” She was toying with you like a doll!
“Yeah, goodbye.” Veronica huffed as she turned the page in the spellbook she was reading. Her eyes were glued to the passages scrawled inside, not even acknowledging Serena as her younger sister all but pranced out of the room with you in tow. “Oh brother…” The newly juvenile mage huffed as she read over yet another useless passage under the heading ‘Size Magic’.
“Come off it! There are so many spells about reducing size, but not a single one about how to restore it?!” Veronica mithered.
Meanwhile, Serena was humming a merry tune to herself as she carried you into the great chamber of the house she and Veronica shared, mind already buzzing with all the thoughts of how you and her could have fun next. She had quite a lovely voice, and you might have felt rather bewitched by the titanic beauty if the thought of anything passing her lips at this point didn’t fill you with dread.
It was cruel irony for you to meet a pair of twin mages; one an adorable little spitfire, wise beyond her apparent years, and her sister an angelically beautiful blonde priestess, only to find the former had a temper to match her evident age and little sympathy for your plight (despite your similar circumstances) while the latter was apparently a tricksy, impish little devil who seemed to delight in finding new ways to strip you of your dignity.
Finding lodging with these twin sisters should have been a dream come true, instead it was a nightmare!
Staring up at Serena’s puckish grin filling your horizon, you swore an oath that you would never recite another unlabeled spell for as long as you live.
“So Little Snack, do you have any idea what we should play next?” The giantess hummed.
“Uh...uh...” Your eyes frantically darted around the room, looking for some way, any way to divert Serena’s playful nature away from any further torment. That dastardly mouth of hers was looming in front of you, reminding you of the consequences should you fail. You examined the room Serena had brought you to, spotting chairs, bookshelves, a carpet and a footstool. Dammit, nothing useful! Then your eyes finally settled on something interesting: an exquisite lyre perched in a stand on top of a nearby shelf.
Did it belong to the sisters?
For some reason, you couldn’t imagine a fiery temper like Veronica being very musically inclined. That left only one option. A portrait on the wall of the younger sister sitting on a rock and serenading her elder sibling confirmed your suspicions. Jackpot!
“Hey Serena. That’s your lyre, right?”
“Hmm?” Serena glanced in the direction your tiny finger was pointing. “Why yes, it is.”
“You can play the lyre? That’s so amazing! I’m sure your music is absolutely splendorous to listen to! Would you please grant me the honor of listening to you perform?” You were laying the flattery on pretty thick, but your immediate safety was on the line here! Serena didn’t seem like a girl with much of an ego, but hopefully you could still stroke it for her.
“Oh really? You think I’m that good?” Serena put a flustered hand to her slightly glowing cheek. “Well I would be delighted to serenade you...” The corners of the priestess’s smile crept upward. “...if you manage to win our next game!”
With those words you felt your heart deflate like a leaking balloon, any hope of reprieve fleeting out as the paper-thin organ flopped to the bottom of your hollow chest.
Serena let out a mirthful titter, already one step ahead of your attempts to wriggle out of your time with her. Was the priestess being pushy? Perhaps. Was she taking advantage of you? Probably. But were you really in any serious danger? Of course not, the blonde giantess reasoned to herself. And even if you did somehow come to harm, it was nothing a little of Serena’s recovery magic couldn’t fix.
So that made this next game perfectly safe!
Still chuckling to herself, Serena gripped her dress with one hand and bent a deep curtsy, gently depositing you on the carpet. She then promptly joined you on the floor as she got down on hands and knees, her pert posterior rising behind her as the priestess brought her face close to you. Even despite the danger, you couldn’t stop your eyes from flitting down to the giantess’s modest chest dangling in her bodice as she bent over.
“Here’s how our next game is going to work.” Serena began. “You are going to be a frightened but resourceful little mouse, and I am going to be the big, mean cat who is trying to clear her owner’s house of rodents.” This was sounding less and less appealing by the second. “The rules are simple. You get a head start, and then you have five minutes to avoid being caught by the cat. You can run, or you can try and hide. If you outlast those five minutes, then I shall become your minstrel for the evening. But if I manage to catch my Little Snack before then…”
Somehow, Serena not finishing that threat only made you feel more intimidated.
“And what if the mouse doesn’t feel like playing?” You ventured.
The giantess’s eyes only seemed to light up at your attempt at defiance, your struggles succeeding in make her more amused. “Then that means the cat catches the mouse automatically.”
Serena then popped a delicate finger between her lips, sucking on it in a manner that in any other situation would seem suggestive, but when you were the SIZE of said finger seemed more like a threat.
“And you know what cats do to helpless little mousies, right?~” The priestess purred.
“Yep! This mouse is gonna go hide!” You squeaked in a shrill voice as you scampered away from the hungry cat as fast as your little legs could carry you.
“You have two minutes little mouse, starting now~” Serena sang as she covered her eyes and started counting. She shook her skirted behind in the air, really getting into the role of an anticipatory, hungry feline. Meanwhile, you were frantically searching the chamber for any kind of location you could possibly use as a hiding place where Serena couldn’t find you.
You had to choose fast. The clock was ticking!
