Steve decided to stay and wait on the patio. At only a quarter inch tall, the trek to get to the side of the house would take hours. Not only that, but who knew what dangers lurked in the tall grass. And even if he did survive the perilous journey to reach the crack that entered the house, he had no idea what awaited him after that.
The sun should start to rise in about an hour, one of his family members had to come out reasonably soon. At least there were not many bugs out yet, so Steve was relatively safe.
Steve continued to approach the sliding glass door, amazed at the sheer size of it. It looked like Heaven's Gate, or the door to some hidden civilization. Several hours passed and sun had not started to rise. An owl had been calling out from the big oak tree the majority of the night, but Steve knew he was far too small for the owl to car about.
Suddenly the blinds opened at the base of the door, meaning Steve could see inside of his house. Though this did not help him enter it at all, it at least meant he had an idea of what was going on. His jaw dropped as he saw the gigantic form of his wife Debbie. She just stood there in her pajamas, dreary eyed, probably still half asleep. She had a massive cup of coffee in her hand and was probably just getting ready to start her day.
Unfortunately for Steve, she had no reason to enter the backyard. Steve started thinking about a survival plan. He knew his best case scenario was still to wait on the patio. He was so caught up in his thoughts, he was not aware of the approaching danger. He heard a noise that caught his attention and saw an approaching shadow.
Looking up, Steve's eyed widened and he started to run in a panic. What was approaching?
