Derek had grabbed finished pouring himself a cup of coffee as he gave up trying to figure out how Lisa had managed to vanish like that. He could always just ask her later. After adding the cream and sugar, he scowled after taking a sip. It had already gotten lukewarm rather than hot. He stepped towards the microwave to heat it back up, but tripped.
"Shit!" he cried out, barely catching himself before hitting the ground. The mug in his hands had dropped onto the carpet, spilling its contents entirely. He stood back up and began to pour himself another cup. He could clean up that mess in a minute.
Meanwhile, Lisa screamed as a tsunami of dark liquid was tossed towards her. The coffee slammed into her with the force of a truck, washing her through the carpeted forest at harsh speeds. She was slammed against strand time and time again. Thankfully the carpet was soft enough to not break anything, though it still roughed her up.
It only took a couple seconds for the current to stop, but it had felt much longer to the bug sized girl. She gasped and sputtered for a minute on the ground, struggling to catch her breath after all that. Lisa sat up slowly, trying to make sure she wasn't critically injured.
Everything seemed alright. Nothing broken or missing. The coffee was warm, but not hot enough to burn her skin thankfully.
"Ok, time to end this" Lisa said aloud as she grabbed the size ray. She set it to grow, pointed it at herself, and pulled the trigger.
...
"What the?" she thought aloud as nothing happened. Lisa pulled the trigger several more times, but nothing came out. Lisa shook it for a moment, and felt her stomach drop as she heard sloshing from within. The coffee wave must have broken it! The mix of being submerged in liquid and bashed around harshly left it completely useless!
Lisa looked around, realizing she was now stuck on the floor of her home at this size. With no one knowing where she is. And the only person that can fix the ray, her dad, away from home.
What was going to happen to her now? If any of her siblings saw her like this, she'd be completely at their mercy! Or if they didn't see her, she may get crushed like any other bug...
