"Must have been a dud program" Claire said as they left the lab with the documents and vials.
As they left the lab, Claire grunted grabbing Owens attention.
"What's wrong Claire?" he asked her.
"It's nothing, I just bumped my foot against a steel pipe." She explained, not knowing that some scales are forming on her ankle.
A few hours later.
Owen had noticed that Claire was walking differently. She was walking slower than normal and she had a distinct limp.
"Claire, are you OK?" he asked.
"Yeah I'm fine" Claire answered with a wince.
"Claire, you don't seem fine" Owen pointed out, noticing how she winced.
"Really I'm fine" Claire told him before she cried out in pain.
"Claire, are you sure you're OK?" Owen asked again.
"I said I'm fine, just leave me alone!" Claire shouted at Owen, causing him to jump.
Claire gasped and looked at her hands in shock. Her fingernails were slightly longer and her skin had a greenish hue to it.
Claire's feet felt like they were swollen so she looked at them. What she saw caused her to gasp in horror.
"What the fuck?" Owen asked curiously.
"No, no, no" Claire said panicking as she tried to take off her boots. She fumbled doing so and when she finally did so she screamed as she saw her feet.
Claire's feet had changed. Her dainty feet were now scaly, clawed and large.
"Owen, help me" Claire said in fear, looking at him pleadingly.
Claire's legs started to cramp up, causing her to moan in pain.
"Owen, what's happening to me?" Claire asked as she tried to stretch her leg muscles.
Owen couldn't find any words to say as he saw her legs were starting to get bigger.
"What the fuck is happening to me?!" Claire cried as she saw her jeans rip apart at the seams.
Owens jaw dropped as he saw that Claire's legs were no longer human. They were scaly and reptilian, with clawed feet and her legs had gotten longer.
"Oh God" Claire gasped as her torso started to change.
Claire started to moan in pain as her back started to arch and her shoulder blades were moving closer together.
Claire's arms were becoming bigger and thicker. Claire screamed as she felt crushed by her jacket. She tore it off, throwing it away from her, before trying to remove her gloves, only for them to tear.
Owen looked at Claire in shock and concern.
Claire cried out as her teeth became more jagged and her lips started to pull back, making her look like she was snarling.
Owen gasped as Claire's neck was starting to disappear and her hair was starting to fall out.
Claire screamed as her head started to morph. Her eyes were becoming larger, her skull was getting bigger while keeping her brain size and her snout was extending out.
Claire screamed again as she felt her hair stop falling out, but was replaced with spiky quills that started to grow out of her head.
Claire tried to reach out to Owen for help, only to accidentally scratch him.
"Oh God I'm sorry" Claire cried as Owen nursed his wound.
"It's OK Claire" Owen said trying to reassure her.
Claire winced out in pain as her spine was reforming and lengthening gaining a tail in the process.
Claire panted as the changes finished.
