Chapter #14Get the diaper bag by: shadow “I ummm…” Angelica stammered. “I can look more like a baby; wait here!”
The two older girls looked at each other while waiting for the blonde to return. Meanwhile, Tommy Pickles and his gang of friends were playing Mud Pie Factory, and they had already produced a number higher than any of them could count (not that this is saying much).
“Hi, Angelica,” Tommy called to his cousin. “Want to play mud-pie factory with us?” The other babies groaned.
“Not on your life, Baldy,” Angelica responded. “I gots better stuff to do than play some stupid baby game,” The child blushed slightly.
“Ummm… Angelica,” Tommy frowned. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine!” The older girl declared.
“Are you still playing with the cold girls?” Tommy inquired.
Angelica groaned, “They’re not cold; they’re cool and none of your business, you Dumb Baby!”
Most of the other babies were relieved when Angelica walked away, but Tommy was still worried about his cousin. “Guys, do you thinks Angelica is acting funny?”
“Nope,” Lil answered.
“She’s still mean, old Angelica,” Phil agreed.
“I guess,” Tommy responded, and before long, the gang was making more mud pies.
“Kon flabbit, Spiffy,” Lou Pickles declared in annoyance as the puppy stole another treat from the old man while his youngest grandson Dil watched and laughed. “Why can’t you get it? Speak!” Spiffy sat down. “Roll over!” The puppy barked. “Sit!” Spiffy rolled on the grass, and Dil laughed again.
Lou was so preoccupied with training the troublesome puppy he didn’t notice his granddaughter hiding under his picnic table. “Gacky!” Dil declared, pointing at Angelica. “Gacky, Gacky!”
“Huh?” Lou started looking around, and Angelica quickly pulled the diaper bag under the table before running away. “Not now,” The old man returned his attention to the dog. “Now, Spiffy lay down!” The puppy remained standing. “Like this,” Lou explained as he lay on the grass. Dil pushed himself down and laughed, “Not you, Dil.”
