Waking up in the morning

The old man woke up in the morning feeling refreshed, more than refreshed as he found himself a little excited, he hadn't woken up that way since before his wife had gotten sick. He got out of bed and got ready to shave, although he noticed he didn't need to shave this morning, which was odd, he always had a healthy growth in the morning, but this morning his face was smooth. He grunted and shaved anyway out of habit. When he took a second to look in the mirror, he felt a little different, it must be the new house and surroundings, but he thought he looked.
