As Stelle and March arrived at Penacony, they were immediately struck by the extravagance of the Reverie Hotel. From its golden spires to the luxious red everywhere...
“Wow” March said, practically bouncing on her heels. “This is so much better than any brochure. Did you see all these things? And wow, Robin is doing a concert! I want to see that!”
Stelle gave a small, amused smile, adjusting the straps of her bag. “It’s impressive, but... you seem more excited than usual.”
March turned, hands on her hips. “Are you kidding? This place is amazing. A dream realm, Stelle! Who wouldn’t want to explore that?”
The hotel attendants greeted them with impeccable grace, offering glasses of bubbling drinks that shimmered in unnatural hues. A uniformed bellhop handed them their room keys with a cryptic smile. “Enjoy your dreams.”
Then, the two girls got their keys and used the elevator to go to their room. Their shared suite was split into two private bedrooms, each furnished with luxurious details—velvet curtains, beds that looked like clouds, and a spacious bathroom with a sunken marble tub. March wasted no time inspecting her room, poking at the dream-enhancing bath.
“So, we just... get in here, and it’s like falling asleep but better?” March mused, running her fingers along the edge of the tub. “What do you think dreams here are like? Do you think we could dream... together?”
Stelle shrugged, leaning against the doorframe. “Only one way to find out.”
March turned to her with a mischievous grin. “Okay, but before that, you should use your... you know.” She gestured vaguely with her fingers. “Your switchy power.”
Stelle raised an eyebrow. “Why?”
“Because!” March clasped her hands together, her eyes sparkling. “What if it changes how dreams work? Maybe if you’re me when we fall asleep, we could try my dreams or something. Just imagine! You’re in my body, and I’m in... yours or something else. Who knows how the dream world will react?"
Stelle hesitated. “It’s not a toy.”
“It’s science!” March exclaimed. “Come on, just for a minute!”
