Hearing the sound of an argument nearby, Stelle's natural curiosity took hold. Walking over to the sound of voices, she found the source of the argument: Asta and Arlan. It seemed like they were having another argument about Asta's current finances.
"I know it's a bit excessive but we NEED this!" Asta exaggerated her voice to convince Arlan of something.
"No we don't! Just last week you tried to splurge and-" As Arlan gave a counterarguement, Stelle began to zone out. That feeling of weightlessness she had been feeling every since she interacted with that Stellaron had reached its apex.
The next few seconds felt like a blur as Stelle couldn't quite comprehend what was going on. Once that strange feeling had passed however, Stelle was met with an incredibly bizarre sight: herself. She was staring directly at her own body, which appeared to be zoning out into space.
"What the..." Stelle instinctively said as she looked down. She still appeared to be herself, but a fully transparent version like a ghost.
Not quite sure what to do, Stelle walked over to Asta "Um guys, we might have a problem..." As Stelle tried to reach over and grab Asta's shoulder, her hand passed directly through her friend. Stranger though, she felt like she had indeed grabbed something from Asta as she pulled back and removed what appeared to be a ghost of Asta from her body!
As Asta's own body began to stare out into space, Stelle was worried that she put someone else in the same position as her, but took some solace that she wasn't the only one in this position. Or at least, she would of if Asta's soul was conscious like her. Unfortunately, it appeared to be unconscious when separated from her body.
"Asta? Are you even listening?" A confused Arlan questioned Asta's zoned out body. He didn't question for long however as soon his own soul was pulled out of his body by a very curious Stelle. Just like Asta's, his soul became unconscious as soon as it left his body.
"Weird, so I can remove them from their bodies?" Stelle began to piece together what was going on. "So what would happen if I..." Stelle was about to try putting them back to normal, but the Trailblazer had a mischievous side. If she was trying things out, why not see what would happen if she put the wrong souls in the wrong bodies?
Grabbing the two quarreling friend's souls, Stelle put them into the opposite bodies. After a few seconds of blinking confused, their eyes widened as they pointed at each other. No longer were they bickering about money, rather they were bickering about whose fault this body swap was.
"Wh-why am I you?!" Asta stammered as she looked at her hands.
"Is it because we were arguing?" Arlan tried to think up some explanation, unaware it was actually caused by a mischievous Trailblazer.
"Okay, so if I can put there souls back into their bodies does that mean..." Stelle began to piece together exactly how this power worked as she walked back to her body and into it.
As soon as she entered her body again, Stelle's point of view shifted. She was once again in a physical form and staring at the panicking Asta and Arlan. She still felt the same strange feeling she had been feeling all day, but now that she had used it once she felt she had more control over it. She had a feeling that if she concentrated she could activate it again for some more soul swapping.
"Well, no time like the present..." Stelle figured she should probably fix Asta and Arlan now and decided to...
