This is an interactive story. Each chapter tells part of the story and often ends with multiple choices. Make a choice and move to the next chapter in your story. When you reach a chapter that hasn't been written yet, don't be shy... make an addition!
The creator of this Interactive Story provides this information and guidance:
This anthology contains stories about mermaids - mostly people who become mermaids, although I'm not averse to having mermaids blend in with leg-walkers.

Of course, you've gotta have rules:

1) Do not kill off the main character.
2) When adding to an existing thread, follow the structure used in the previous chapter. If the story starts out in past tense, don't make it present tense. If the story starts out in the 1st person, don't make it 3rd person.
3) Try to use correct spelling and punctuation.
4) I'm going to let each story have its own rules for merfolk, so pay attention to what's being done in that thread.
5) Keep it PG-13. Nudity is okay. Strong language is okay, but don't overdo it. Sex is okay, but don't go into detail.
6) If you're adding to an existing thread, I want no one-sentence chapters. Either advance the story, or don't bother.
