Days after the seeming destruction of HADES, Aloy found herself exploring another ruin where the last of The Old Ones lived out their remaining days. Unlike other ruins, this one wasn't lucky enough to survive the millennium and had collapsed. The only structure that still worked was a door, but even that had bent enough to cause an X to appear.
"Well, looks like I'll have to get some acid arrows." she said to herself as she moved to climb back out. Instead of going up the rope, however, she was strangely drawn to a crack that she could barely notice.
As she got closer, the crack turned out to be lead into a secret room. Insides was a singular bed large enough for five people, currently holding three corpses preserved in calcium coffins. The middle one has a Focus, giving Aloy his last words.
"I can't believe how much of an idiot I've been!" the man's voice spoke through her own Focus. "Here I've been enjoying this magnificent tablet, yet I've only just realised that I can stop the world from ending. Sadly, the stupid machine still hasn't fully charged from creating GAIA, so I'll have to wait a few more days before I turn of those killer robots. Until then, I can enjoy my new wives."
From the surrounding, it seems there was a collapse soon after, suffocating the man with his wives. The question on her mind was, what is a 'tablet' and where was it now? Whatever was able to create GAIA was something she could desperately use.
Scanning the room, a small black disk glowed, indicating it was some form of technology. Oddly enough, there was no calcium on it. In fact, it seemed to be resting on top of the coating that encompassed the bedside unit. The moment she touched it, the disk expanded into a screen 3'6 by 6ft. Giving it another quick scan informed her the device was the 'tablet' that the man was speaking of.
