An interactive story set in the Mage Errant universe

This is an interactive story. Each chapter tells part of the story and often ends with multiple choices. Make a choice and move to the next chapter in your story. When you reach a chapter that hasn't been written yet, don't be shy... make an addition!

This story is set in the Mage Errant universe. There are a few types of casters in the universe, with the magic they can perform based on concept words they have an affinity for (e.g a Fire affinity would let you manipulate and conjure fire).

Affinity Mage: Usually has one or more affinities. For the purposes of this story, let’s say you can start with no more than three affinities. New affinities can be developed, but it takes a lot of work and time.

Warlock: Born with no affinities, and usually a small mana reservoir. They pact themselves to powerful beings and gain the abilities of those beings.

Sorcerers (something I made up, so non-canon): Also have no affinities, and can only work with mana that’s already been channelled from the Ether, and they absorb into themselves, which causes gradual physical alterations. Can develop affinities if they use a certain magic type often enough.
