I have to also let you know that FREE! is important to me because I am on a fixed very limited income. However, As you mentioned, it is extremely vital and necessary to have an income. If you were the richest person/people in the world this wouldn't be a concern because you could afford to give everything away. A business must have income or it would not exist! Because people have troubles which are beyond their control, because sometimes they fall on hard times, and because they need a hand up, you have graciously allowed for these issues by having a solution. Right now my biggest funding I can give to writing.com is my time. I gladly invest as much time as I possibly can and endeavor to add more. In my opinion, if it were possible and cost effective, there should be a very limited amount of free offerings and only when a dollar or two was paid per year the rest of the free amenities be available to members. That would be good business cents No, you didn't do this for which I am grateful In the future I hope to help with the finances to keep this site running. You made a good point of all the free offerings and mentioned the business necessity for income, great job. You forgot or I missed the part about: the many groups who are allowed to gather gps for people who need gifts of upgraded accounts. I'm certain there are people who are allowed to gift money to a fund here which allows for gifting of upgraded accounts. Not only is the income missed but the fees for these activities are not collected, there fore this is FREE! There are so many items and places which are here for free! Gifted digital designs and other art work is allowed for free. I like free because it is what I can afford right now, and I than k you.

People do not realize the time you and other members invest in keeping writing.com afloat and running smoothly which is free. They are not familiar with the cost of money or time for the design of this site, the programming of the script to run the site, the cost of the servers to host this site, or any other costs which you do not charge for individually for the start up or continued smooth running of this site except for the very, very reasonable prices of memberships and other which is voluntary. People have free choice to have a free or paid membership. Now, that's an idea! How about charging for the privilege of having a FREE membership
