I love your story! All of the other contest entries are about the reaper doing his job, but yours is how he came to be. It makes me wonder what happened to the village people. Did they get a terrible disease or was an unspeakable wrath unleashed on them? I like how the reaper was always a little different, but still treated like a normal man.
