Doris' voice as she narrates the story captured me at the start. I was compelled to keep reading, wanting to know what came next. Tom's character is not as well developed and could use some more information about him. I enjoyed the dialogue. I also liked the description of the harpies. There are some grammatical issues. The ending of the story was unexpected and very well done.
