Hi Jeannie!
When I was a youngster, many more years ago than I'd like to admit, I loved horror stories, especially those that dealt with crows.
I'm not sure why, but it might have to do with their relationship with cultures around the world, and their inclusion in the collective memories of each.
Your story follows closely the thought that they are very intelligent social creatures, and work in unison. This keeps your story more believable, and the characters more real to the reader.
The flow of the story moves smoothly, and the initial assault of the crows, and the subsequent tragedy allows the reader to extrapolate the likely end to the first victims partner.
I found only one small bit that might be a candidate for editing, but it did nothing to detract from the enjoyment of this little story.

This is a really nice bit of work, and thanks for sharing it with us.
