Greetings,
ANN Counselor, Lesbian & Happy
! I decided to poke through your port and use one of your items in today's blogging challenge.

I found this extremely interesting and liked it very much.

I completely understand what you are saying about hypocrites in the church. I know we are all sinners to some extent, but wouldn't you think at least when attending church, one would not gossip or judge or have an affair with the preacher? And of course it shouldn't be done anyway.

I know church is a place where many find peace and feel closer to God. But I don't feel that one
has to attend church to find it. It sounds as if you find your peace at home, and in your heart.

I do not attend church anymore either, but I pray every day, before every meal and before I go to sleep.

I'm so sorry you've been abused. But it sounds like you have found your way to freedom.

Sometimes people judge because they are unfamiliar and uncomfortable with the situation. I have come to the conclusion over the years, that it is not my place to judge, only God's. Who am I to judge? It does nothing but harm. Judgment is hurtful and does absolutely no good at all.

Just an extra thought here... At my last writing group session, a newer member mentioned that the bible was originally without punctuation, which I found extremely interesting. And that's yet another reason why certain things are questioned...because without punctuation, as we all know (especially writers!) you can only guess where a period or comma or whatever, goes. And punctuation in alternate places can be interpreted in different ways. Just something to think over...

I thought this was an excellent read, Ann. The sentence I copied below says a lot. I'm not sure these people (not all people, of course) realize they are even doing this. It's like they are blind.
Favorite line...
As an adult I was unwilling to agree to the prejudice of preachers and church members against people of color, different nationalities, homosexuality or members of other denominations.

Good job!
Have a great day and...
