It used to be a destination in the ancient times for the spiritual seekers.
The writer describes India from her travel experiences. Not surprisingly, these are some frequently felt feelings by the distant travelers to this land of destiny. I am constantly surprised by its contrariness despite being an Indian. I can visualize how very shocking, stunning or even repulsing India could be to a visitor.
India could be irritating and elevating in the same breath. I think that is where lies its magnetism. Its because of its varied cultural heritage and language complexity that earned its description as a subcontinent besides geographical reasons.
The words that the author spoke on Mother India and the river Ganges are so true. It is the rivers, mountains and the rich earth that prompted the Aryans utter the vedas, or the holy scriptures of Hinduism.
With an impressive style the author ends it on a note that becomes an intensely observant visitor to India and its milieu.
" Do not expect anything but the unexpected. Unbuckle for a journey that takes you in to the deepest recesses of your soul."
