The note of new found joy and the mood of having found a gold mine are carried on till the end. Thrift stores have their benefits as told by the author. Her day's adventure of having found what she wanted and much more are narrated in an interesting manner. The tail piece is even better. What else do you need other than good food after the happily tiring shopping spree!
I like the way the name of the place is revealed at the end of the story. "So many things contribute to New Mexico being called The Land of Enchantment,… and now I can add Thrift Stores to the list!"
Told in first person, the story has appeal to my eye, touch, feel and ear. With an appropriate dose of humor, it is engaging and interesting by bringing out the differences in malls and stores.
