I know how you feel, My grandmother is no longer with us either, it is a sad thing to lose your grand ma. I only ever really knew one of mine but she was an angel. The other died when I was a baby. your poem really tugged at my heart strings. it was highly emotionally charged. It doesn't matter that it did not rhyme, sometimes the best poems ever written don't rhyme. The tone is loving and kind of sad because you no longer have her with you any more. I thought it flowed well as it moved freely and unhindered from the first sentence until the last. I really enjoyed reading your poem because it was warm and if I closed my eyes I could even picture my grandmother the way she was when I was a little girl, before she got sick. I thought the following part stood out the most... ![]() ![]() And if this doesn’t rhyme, I'm not going to change it. After all, this is for a grandmother, Not a poetry contest. ![]() ![]() Thank you so kindly for allowing me to visit with you at your port. I appreciate the hard work and dedication it takes to create these works. You keep writing and I'll keep reading. God Bless You ![]() ![]()
