Hello there, FillMySorrows!
I've read a lot of Newbies on here, but you show a lot of talent, my friend!
First off, I'm no expert on poetry (mainly cuz I don't understand it most of the time), but I do enjoy an occasional free verse, and you did an exceptional job with this! Your metaphors were really good, and the reader can feel your emotion. 'You were my possession only on paper' and 'We pulled each other down, drowning in our ocean, A beautiful death' really stood out!
When a writer can express themself through the written word as well as this, then they've done their job, and you certainly did yours with this!
