| Did Death Come Knocking This Morning? True event in the early morning hours of December 15, 2017. |
| Ahoy, Busman Poet! This is cool, and I like the way you ended it. It’s a good ‘thinking piece’, and it makes me wonder how many times death’s been knocking on my own front door. Or to put it a little differently, how many times death’s had me its clutches, only to see me escape at the last instant. I’ve been in a few bad car accidents, one of which left me in a coma for a couple of days, and I’ve even been shot at twice. Granted, I was consciously ‘biding my time’, but it makes look at my life and be thankful for the time I’ve been here. Because sooner or later, The Grim Reaper will come knocking and there won’t be any turning back—no ‘escape’, and I can accept that. But waiting for him to come isn’t and won’t be my biggest fear. Mine will be knowing whether or not I’ll have the chance to say goodbye to my loved ones. You know, I’ve never thought of looking at death like this, so thank you for making me think! That’s what a good writer does, so you obviously did your job! Kee ponw ritin gon, Busman! Thanks for sharing this, and welcome to WdC! PS-You might want to get your biography set up so we can know a little something about you (hobbies, favorite authors/books, location, etc.), but that's up to you, of course. PSS-Since you’re new here, perhaps you’d like to check out "Noticing Newbies"
PSSS-If you want more exposure for your items you can put them on the Please Review Page or The Plug Page under Community on the left hand side. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ![]()
