Hello there, Opal Forest!
As a lover/writer/reader and judge of horror, I thought this wasn't too bad. I like the concept of this dream, and your descriptions of the setting and this 'thing' weren't bad either. But there's quite a few grammar mistakes in it.
Don't get me wrong; if you cleaned it up a little (grammar-wise) and continued with it, I think it could be a lot better. You've already piqued the reader's interest, so you don't want to leave them hanging.

PS-You might want to get your biography set up so we can know a little something about you (hobbies, favorite authors/books, location, etc.), but that's up to you, of course.
