I enjoyed reading your "feral" contribution to the 24 Syllables Contest. I have never previously thought of a coffee drinker as feral... although there is rumor of one in my family who sometimes appears rabid if she doesn't get her fix.

Your poem is definitely a creative take on the prompt word.

You did a good job telling a story in your poem and I could definitely picture someone before she'd had her morning coffee. I remember many mornings as a kid where I knew it was best to "Be wise and sit quietly." until the person in charge had his or her coffee.

Your poem reminds me that I am kind of lucky that my spouse gets up hours before me so I almost never see him before he's had his coffee. Though he's generally even tempered so I wouldn't be in danger of death.
