Guten tag, Hullabaloo!
This is really, really good! I love how you combined the graveyard and the pumpkin patch prompts, and having those unearthly (or very earthly, since they were coming from the ground!) ghouls take their own harvest of the villagers was excellent!
Very well told, and that ending was perfect!
Comments and suggestions:'In some places, pieces of orange flesh still dangled, witness to the ferocity of the harvest.' (great line!)
'their entire crop of pumpkins were gone' (was-you were referring to the 'crop', which is singular)
