![]() ![]() ![]() Greetings Penelope Moonbeam ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() January 7, 2023 ![]() What a fun way to look at the inevitable. The use of an acrostic, not to exactly lyricize a special moment in time, but the format, the rhythm and cadence of the writing is light, energetic and a delight to read. ![]() The New Year has a place with us each year. Whether invited to the table and a feast or a party and a celebration the "baby year" comes along with a bit of noise, some special promises that sound like accolades and maybe should be welcomed with a lot more energy than what our hearts can conceive. Tied to the New Year's appearance is some beautiful prose aligned with the words "The Promise." Like the first words "Oath of New Year," the promise speaks of the joy of trust, vows, and promises where love can begin to flourish. ![]() The prose is written in an acrostic format to the words: "Oath of New Year" and "The Promise." The format adds a great deal of joy to what might be taken as ordinary, or mundane. After all promises, and oaths, and New Years happen all the time, right? But the author has given us a special way to reflect on the ways our story may play out this year! Beautifully. ![]() ![]() This was my favorite moment: “Promise that will carry us through this chaotic unfeeling world of turmoil Remember that side by side we shall get through the darkest moments Only you and I, alone can depend on each other, never forget that the Most important thing we can do is love and cherish each other ” How blessed we are when we can share with our most cherished love the joys of a New Year and days yet to be experienced together. The treasure is in the wisdom of young hearts that know that love will overcome every obstacle, no matter what is hiding in the shadowy months of the year ahead. ![]() I liked everything written in this piece. I think it is super just the way you have created it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Invalid Item" ![]() ![]() I hope my thoughts and impressions have been a help.
