Greetings, Pony Tale! I am reviewing this because I am part of the Anniviersary Reviewing Team. Wow! You've been here almost as long as me! Happy 21st Writing.com Anniversary! I hope you have many more.
First of all, my reviews are intended to be helpful and encouraging, not hurtful in any way. Use what you feel works for you, and leave the rest.
The Positives/What I Liked
Ooooooh!!!!!!! This is special. It reminds me of the horse (Chief) my granddaughter used to have. His nose was soooo soft. As I read this poem about a horse's nose, it brought back memories. I loved the entire piece, but the following lines really stood out to me: whose breath plays
my fingers like thick,
fleshy strings You obviously have a love of horses. My mother-in-law, my granddaughter, my mother, and my sister have this, too. Me? I like them, but I have this anxiety around them because they are so big and powerful. I think I would do well with a small pony (where my feet would almost touch the ground ) or a donkey. I've seen a few wild burros in Arizona and California and have fallen in love with them!
Suggestions/Comments to Consider
I have nothing to suggest.
Final Thoughts
My granddaughter is on the Equestrian team at her school. She leases a horse right now. I love going to her competition and watching! I just wish I wasn't so fearful of those beautiful animals!
