I found your flash fiction story in the "Anniversary Reviews" forum today, reviewed by someone else that I respect. Your title drew me in, then your description made me curious. So I clicked and read your story and enjoyed it greatly, so I decided to give you a review as a little anniversary gift. Happiest anniversary wishes to you and best wishes on your writing future too! Your story felt suspenseful to me and I might have even held my breath a little as I read it. You did a great job building tension and keeping my attention all the way through. Even though it's a short piece, especially at this time of night, it's not that easy to keep my attention, so great job. I thought your dialogue was fantastic and fit the story well. You did a good job with showing the scene and demonstrating the action in an economy of words. I wondered what contest you had entered this piece in (one of your genres is contest entry) and whether you placed in it? It's under 300 words, so if I had to guess, I'd say the Daily Flash Fiction contest, but plenty of other options exist here too. I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your "You Better Run" flash fiction story. I thought the comedy, drama, and contest entry genres you selected for this "You Better Run" flash fiction story were appropriate matches for it. I liked that you included your word count at the top, so it was easy to judge whether I had time to read your story before I started. My very favorite part of your "You Better Run" flash fiction story was the twist at the end.IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER: In the spirit of helpfulness, and because of the requirements of a new reviewing challenge I joined recently, I have some little suggestions to make your piece stronger.
