I'm offering these few comments on your story in connection with I Write in 2025.
I would have to say at the outset that I found this quite a challenging read, which might well be capable of more than one interpretation. An exploration of the very nature of reality itself? Perhaps more specifically, how human perception can be affected by the experience of grief and loss, especially if even further distorted by the effects of medication?
Whatever the overall intention, the writing itself is sensuous and of high quality, at once poetic and powerful, pulling me deep into the confused labyrinth of Margaret's mind. I thought your word choices were inspired throughout the piece with some startlingly original descriptions and particularly clever use of all the senses.
With all good wishes for the Philosophical Musings contest.
