Each day is a gift - that's why it's called the Present. One day, you are planning your son's birthday, and the next, you could find yourself planning their funeral. My uncle had to deal with that, a few years back, and it was rough. I guess that's why he enjoys seeing me whenever we dine at a mutual favorite restaurant at the same time, where he snags at least one of my chicken wings.

I don't see any issues with spelling or grammar, but the asterisks leave me puzzled - what are they for?
