| Revolution Starts Now Daisy saw a message in the sky after days of mundane work. |
| Hello, I'm one of the official judges for the following: "Rhythms & Writing: Official WDC Contest" ABOUT THIS STORY: The story is a sci-fi/fantasy about a hybrid alien and dragon and the type of mundane life that's led on her world. WHAT I LIKED: I liked the fantasy elements of the story. There are nice world building elements that leaves the reader curious. Good use of dialogue tags. The dialogue accents the narration well. The main character of Daisy is likable and relatable. INSPIRATION: The inspiration for this story is a song by Steve Earle called "Revolution Starts Now." The song was written in the early 2000's as he had political concerns over the Bush administration's direction it was taking the country. The song is a call to action emphasizing that democracy requires constant vigilance, active participation, and individual empowerment. Democracy starts at the local level and grows upward. That said, I'm looking for similar elements in the story. I thought this story did a great job capturing the mood of the song, as Daisy and Buttercup join a protest on the local level wanting equal rights for all. An intriguing story. Good luck in the contest. My review is affliated with the Angel Army
