Hi Jack Goldman Author Icon. Congratulations as you approach your 22nd Writing.Com Anniversary. Very impressive!

I'm Ja-Ja-JINX Author Icon, and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "Five Lights to TruthOpen in new Window.. This review comes courtesy of "Anniversary ReviewsOpen in new Window., which allows participating reviewers to select an item from any member who joined within the first five years of WDC's existence. Thank you for supporting WDC during those early growing years.

I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story.

*Note1*
Overall Impression. What an awesome tribute to your family. I especially enjoyed the pictures and little quips offered up for some of them. A number of the pictures didn't display; each one says it's Access Restricted when selected. Perhaps that's something you could look at.

Each individual vignette offers a poignant look into your family. Of course, each one of us is shaped by those around us, especially family. You first wrote this offering in 2007 with an update seven years later. It's been 11 years since that last update. I'm not sure updating to present will offer any greater insights into how these family members have shaped your life ... other than to just keep things current.

Adding the pictures gives your readers some anchors while reading about their lives. Many of us can sympathize with the pain and suffering of loved ones who've had cancer and how that impacted the family. I have gone through kidney cancer just this year and have been very lucky regarding the care I've received. I could only imagine the suffering by your mother, and the family.

I think of the things I've learned from my kids, both wives and extended family. I recognize everything we have did not happen in a vacuum. There was more joy than sorrow ... but all contributed.

I remember thinking back in 2009 when my Dad passed on leaving me in charge of the clan, as it were. I felt I wasn't ready for such a task. But I learned and am better for it.

Technical and Editorial Considerations. In this section I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc.

I didn't notice any obvious errors from a technical standpoint in your article.
