Review of : Nature Nurture or Me

I just finished reading Nature Nurture or Me, and I wanted to tell you directly how much your piece resonated with me. You explore a question we all bump into sooner or later: what really shapes us? And you do it with such honesty and gentleness that it immediately pulled me in.

I loved the reflective tone throughout. The way you wove your personal experiences into the broader idea felt so natural. Your comparison between your adopted daughters and your nieces and nephews was especially powerful. It gave me a clear, real-world glimpse into how both nature and nurture show themselves in a family.

And the part where you revealed your spiritual heritage? That might be my favorite moment. It shifted everything into deeper territory. Suddenly the essay wasn’t just observation — it was personal. Ancestry, intuition, and lived experience colliding like that made the whole piece feel richer, like there’s a larger story tucked beneath.

Honestly, your voice is warm, sincere, and quietly strong. This is the kind of writing that lingers. It feels like you’re inviting the reader into your world, gently, without preaching. That’s rare.

To me, this reads like the opening to a memoir or a spiritual-life narrative. It already has all the elements:

• A central question: Who am I, and how did I become this version of myself?
• A compelling hook: Your daughters’ adoption contrasted with the family you grew up in.
• A layered reveal: Discovering a magickal lineage long after following an inner pull.
• A satisfying conclusion: Ending on “what makes me, ME” ties the whole arc together beautifully.

If this were a book, I’d be eager to see you explore:

• the adoption decision
• your own childhood and family dynamics
• the spiritual or magickal awakening
• moments where nature and nurture tugged you in different directions
• the turning points that shaped your identity

Your piece is thoughtful, relatable, and full of quiet wisdom. It hints at so much more beneath the surface — and that’s exactly what a book opening should do.

Kind wishes,
Tee
