A poem about someone who wil never see it... an unrequited love.
Sitting here and
I know better but
You sure look good in my memories.
Do you remember or
Do you try to forget
Some of our finer moments?

It's amazing to me
How I can still recall
Some subtle nuance of yours
After all these years.
I haven't heard your voice but
I try to keep it close,
Even though I know it's wrong.

We tried and failed,
I guess I rushed us.
I fell into the trap
Of listening to everyone else
When I should have just listened
To myself.

After all this time,
Is it loneliness or is it love I feel
When I look forward to our online chats?

You say she doesn't mind.
I may pose no threat but
She's no friend of mine.
I am wicked in a thousand ways-
Trying to think how to steal you away,
How too steer you back towards the
Path that is mine.

It's funny and it's tragic,
How people look for some sort of magic
Some fireworks to explode
When all they really need to know
Is there in their heart.

I may not be the girl I was,
All I am asking for
Is a chance to show you the
Woman I've become...
