This poem is about a girl that effected my life in a very personal way. |
| She found me on the streets and weak No betteroff than I, she picked me up Homeless herself, she gave me shelter She was frightened to go to her home Yet somehow she guided me back to mine She will soar with the angels For she is one She will live with the saints For she is mine I could see her wounds, still she dressed mine She could hardly carry her own burdens Then she took me under her wing Christ-like she watched my blistered feet And helped me to walk on them again She will live amongst the legends For She is one She will die amongst the heroes For she is mine For all she did, I did merely a tenth For all the light that flowed from her I was a mere cangle flame to her For all that she was,I will never be She will be held up along the greats For she is my personal savior |
