Christ arose today;
For my sins He has paid;
Mine His joy, for me He prayed.

"Christ the Lord is Risen Today!"

for the "Try This" contest Round 5


The first three lines at the top are synonyms 1 syllable, then 2 then 3;
The stanza was 5 syllables then 6 then 7 that described a real life application;
and the last line had to be an 8 syllable quote.


Hmmmm... I wrote the line Mine His joy because the resurrection causes Jesus great joy! He paid the price and now has a clear title to bring salvation to anyone who agreed with Him.

And since I agreed, His joy is Mine!
