Balance of Responsibility

The responsibility of life is a carefully measured balance,
Of risks and opportunities, of desires and fantasies,
All blended together with a healthy staple of mediocrity.

Like a crazed performer at a karaoke bar,
Who is only half as drunk as he is acting,
And only half as talented as he wishes he was.

So tell me once, and tell me true.

Was I singing too loud?
