| A dark pebble in the ocean Swaying, sweeping through the salty waves captured for its beauty captured for its strength put in a jar, up on a shelf kept by a person, not let out similar jars, filled, surround filled with lighter, darker all the same too dark to be light, too off to be right separated, segregated parted and discriminated treated for its shade its hue its tint and pigment lying there its soul ablaze with the injustice done to it and former slaves until its let free back into the waves |
